Updates
I am not sure if I shall be keeping this as my only 'online journal' or not. I currently have one up on Live Journal. On the plus side, having this journal as my main journal has its advantages - I can make the layout however I want without many restrictions. The plus side to keeping my Live Journal account is that many more people would possibly view it and make comments on it. Ah well. I will still think about it for now. At the moment, I am tweaking with certain aspects of it, maybe seeing if I can find a different layout because I'm bored with the current one.

My new job ^_^`
Well, my new job is rather...exciting, shall we say? I have so far taken two training trips. My first trip was on the Texas Eagle, train number 21/22, and my layover was in Ft. Worth, Texas. I was *so* warm down there! I liked it a lot, and we had a full day's layover (although I really didn't do anything but go out to eat down there). My last training trip wasn't long ago at all, I just got back on the 10th. I was working on the California Zepher and that is train number 5/6. Our layover was in Oakland, California and OH MY GOD it was sooo nice out there as well. Unfortunetly our layover was only about 13 hours. I also didn't really like the guy that I trained over on this last trip...He was a nice old guy and all but, ah, he was just really annoying. Such as, he liked to talk a lot...I mean, a LOT. I am not a talkative person, so I did anything just to get away from him *laughs*. Aside from that, working on the trains isn't that bad. Yes, you can work up to 18 hours a day, but the money you make in hourly wages and tips combined is great! Plus, excellent benefits are there and just a whole lot of good stuff. The downside is I have waaay more stories from these last two trips about customers than I ever got in six months or a year from Domino's >< I cannot get online while away, but I am writing them all down and plan on posting them either here or I shall make a new section to my website, similar to my 'pizza stories' section :)

Nothing new in the court case
My lawyer has sent an ultimatum to the lawyers of the 'drunk' guy. Basically it says, that since they haven't responded to his settlement offer from MAY 12! which said we would settle for a sum total of $15,000 for damages and so forth, they have 21 days now to respond. If they do not, we will go to trial. I don't want it to go to trial but I feel this guy must pay for his mistakes. It was his second DUI, and that isn't cool. One time out drinking and driving might be that you underestimated your drunkness. Two times is just stupid.

My teeth hurt.
*is excited* I can't wait to start my new job. On the darker side, my teeth and jaw hurt. I really don't know why, and I can't afford to go to the dentist or doctor (I have no insurance). But as I was looking up stuff on the 'net, I cam across a few pages where people have the same symptoms that I do now...And what I have might actually be a sinus infection (its weird! that can cause teeth, gums, jaw, etc to hurt o.0). I hope that is it. I mean, I know only brushing once/twice a day is probably not enough. However, I still do *at least* once, so my teeth just suddenly hurting can't just be normal tooth problems (here's hoping!).

Great stuff.
Well, I haven't posted a whole lot. In a long time. I can't say that I will start posting a lot in the future, but I can't say that I will totally stop, either. I say this because I am getting a new job, and its 100% travel. I'll be working as the "Lead Service Attendent" aka manager of the lounge/cafe cars on Amtrak trains. Pretty neat, huh? Its a GREAT job from what I can gather. I'll be paid $13.32 an hour, and since I am doing the same thing as anyone else in the car, I'll most likely get tipped too (although I really don't expect it). I get benefits after a year, vacation time next year, I have to join a union though (I'm not sure if that is good, or bad right now...). The downside is that for every trip you are on, whether its a day or 8 days long, your work day is 18 hours >.< So you don't have time to do anything else while you are on your trip, you can only work and sleep. Its weird. When you are schedualed to work on a train, someone calls you and lets you know that you have to be in Chicago in two hours to report for work. Then you get the food order ready and on the train, etc. On the longer trips, you apparently get a hotel room (thats nice) but during normal trips you get your own little room in the employee cars on the train. So at least I wouldn't have to share with anyone lol. It should definately be an interesting job. Oh, yeah, I finally drove into Chicago for the first time all by myself last Friday, and got terribly lost, haha. But today it wasn't so bad. :)

no title
I have a job interview on Friday morning with Amtrak. Its for a position where you are a manager of either the lounge and/or the dining cars. Pretty sweet, I'm just not sure if I am actually going to get hired. They wanted two years experience in food and beverage services, formal dining experience and/or management experience preferred. Not sure why so many 'and/or's were in the ad, but hey, they called ME two days after I submitted my resume online :D I'm crossing my fingers on this one, because I hate the domino's I work at. I also hope that Amtrak didn't just call me because my Dad is a very high up manager in the company >-< Because I *d0* have all the requirements they would like, just not the "preferred" formal dining experience. Plus they are looking to hire for 12 different positions. Wish me luck!
