Christmas!

I didn't think I'd be getting a lot for Christmas. I don't ask for much anymore, I let my mom and dad get stuff for David and Charlie more [my siblings]. This year my mom didn't get me anything...But thats because she's having money problems, and I don't blame her! Besides, she spent what little money she had on my younger brother's wedding, and buying a few small gifts for my little sister who is 15 years old [at least, soon to be 15].
As I said, I was surprised with what I got for presents. From my boyfriend's mom, I got a Nintendo DS Lite and that game Brain Age, quite nifty! And then I got an MP3 player from my dad, and a check for $250 - I was surprised at that, but I think that is because he usually spends about $300 on us for presents. And then I got diamond earrings from my boyfriend  ~~ My first diamond jewelry! I haven't taken them out of my ears yet lol.
This isn't a great time of the year as far as my car goes. I had problems with it last year, and that ended up with a bill in excess of $1,000. Now, my car is having the same problems (running rough at odd times, ETS OFF light coming on and then going off again...). The good part is, there is a warranty on what I had done last year, but it only lasts until January 16th (or 18th, something like that). I don't have much more time to bring it in! Luckily enough I have a week of vacation starting January 5th, if I can't get it in any earlier than that.
I know a lot of people claim as a new years resolution that they will work out, whether at the gym or at home. I'm not making a resolution to work out...I'm making a commitment. I want to be a US Marine. As of January 1st, I plan on starting to work out with weights. I'm going to give myself 7 months to get in shape and tone down. Do you think that is not enough time, or just right? I don't think I want to try to lose twenty pounts in one month (like what my last recruiter wanted me to do lols!). I want to do it the right way. Besides, I've been reading up a lot on weight loss, working out, etc, and how it pertains to going into the military, and it says people - especially women - can benefit from working out on weight lifting type machines before they enter boot camp.
The place where I still have a gym membership has a thing where they can tailor an exercise program just for you for just $3.

Wednesday, December 20th
Finally!

 I get so mad when I call up a place for technical support, and the guys can't speak English without a thick accent that I can barely understand them! Honestly! I can understand companies wanting to save money by outsourcing (although I do NOT agree with it!) but damn, at least get people who can pretend to sound like they're from the USA. For whatever reason, my wireless internet router decided to stop connecting to the internet (I could connect my computer directly to the cable modem no problem and get on the internet though) so I had been calling comcast and then whoever does the support for Linksys routers. It was a nightmare XD I pretty much just apologized to the person on the other end and hung up, since there was no point in wasting time.
My boyfriend ended up solving the problem when I called him...And he doesn't know much about computers! Ah well.
I can't wait to be out of this apartment, I'll save so much money. Then again, I can't wait to become a Marine, either.

As of Sunday, December 17 2006, my brother is not only a United States Marine, but also a husband. His wife's name is also Kristin, so that makes her the 4th Krist*n Haffner in our family, lol!!! But I'm so happy for David, as Kristin seems very nice and I hope they are happy together. I just never imagined that David would be the first one to marry hehe.
There was tons of my dad's side of the family at the wedding...The side that never really "got" us. We're kinda like the black sheep out of all the cousins, they thought we were weird. David surprised me when he told me that basically our grandma told him that she thought he surpassed all the other grandchildren and that she was so proud of him for joining the Marines. My brother was the first out of all the cousins to join any military service. That means so much because we always dreaded going over to their house for parties and such, because they didn't approve of our "weird" ways hehe. Apparently they didn't know that I, too, will be going into the Marines. Rocky on! I love surprising people...lol.

Saturday, December 16th
All sorts of crap

 We didn't get to set up my dad's house for my brother's wedding last night like we planned, because my dad was unable to pickup the tables. I guess he'll be picking those up today, but since my brother is having his little bachelor's party today, we won't be setting up until tomorrow early morning. Me and the BF are playing WoW right now.
I'm going to try to get a new layout for this blog. It looks clean and neat, which is good, but it just looks too bare to me. If anyone knows any great free layout sites, please link them in a comment!
I just paid $250 because the retarded gym that I have a membership with for whatever reason hasn't been charging my bank account the membership fees every month for the past few ones. But hey what can I do right? I can't wait to get rid of my apartment, its such a money drain and I'm not even there 1/4th of the month, such a waste. I had roommates previously, but they each in turned were found to be terrible roommates for one reason or another, so now its just me and the kitties.
I need to start working out, my goal is to be as physically fit as possible after summer next year, which is when I plan on joining the Marines.

Friday, December 15th
Ok, here goes...

Ok so right now I'm actually quite upset, a woman who bought some of my soaps through a website called Etsy is claiming with Paypal that I did not send her the soaps (after I sent them a second time, because she emailed me to say she didn't get them...) and now I must refund her the original amount of money before my Paypal account gets released from its limited use again. That blows. Ugg, I hate people. I'm not going to be auctioning stuff off anytime soon, I don't think...
Speaking of stuff! I called off this work trip so that I could see my brother get married on the 17th. I'm excited for him, but I don't think this is the right time to be getting married...He's a United States Marine, but still in his job training. On the 18th, him and his soon-to-be wife are leaving for California Its not that I'm against the marriage, but I just think its too early, in his career as a Marine and just in general, he's only 19! But whatever he does I'll support him of course, and try to help him out as best I can. He's my only brother, and also a Marine...Something I hope to become next year.
My website will now be my blog...I will no longer use my Live Journal or my blog on Myspace, since I seemed to only sporadically update either or, not both at the same time. I'm hoping to get a nice little layout for this blog, so if anyone has any ideas on where to get one, I'd appreciate a comment!

I've decided to turn my website, www.rubberhouse.net, into my journal since it is not being used for much else. I helped create the craze about "cartoon dolls" over the internet several years ago, but its just not a hobby of mine anymore. I will keep my dolls site up and online, but I am thinking of keeping it up as an archive of my art, and nothing more since I don't see myself making dolls at any point in time in the near future. Of course this is mostly just babble, seeing how the GM stuffs are working out. More posts to come  And hopefully a better layout, as well!
