C H A N L U D E S I G N

My name is Veriria, thanks for visiting my website! What would happen if a rather sedentary person finally got enough motivation to actually work out? Well, you'll find out here! I'm conducting a 30-day experiment to see how exercising approximately 8 minutes a day and eating slightly more healthy than I'm used to will effect me at the start of the new month. I'm using a book titled 28 Day Fitness Program by Thorsten Tchirner, because I know next to nothing about creating an exercise plan. Care to follow my progress? This main page is now my journal -- If you were looking for my cartoon dolls, please see the link to the right.

CArs

So, knowing my car was due for an oil change, I finally took it somewhere to get that done. I went to the place me and mom normally get it done. Saw "Lunchbox" there, a dude who was also set to go into the Marines (he got sent back six weeks in to boot camp because while running half his body went numb...damn!) so it was a nice little experience. He's the one who did my oil and all the other crap they do there. I paid, I left, I did a bit of driving.

A bit later, as I was going to drive back to Hammon, I noticed my car was smoking and the thermometer whatever was near the Hot zone, so I immediately pulled over. Zero and the people at the oil place thought maybe a little oil was spilled onto the engine somewhere, so they sent a guy up to where I was to check it out which was really nice of them.

He concluded that I needed a new thermostat which is why my car was running hot and continued to do so. Unfortunetly, I'm the typical female in that I know nothing about cars (something I need to change). Anyways, we drove my car back to that place, they changed it and did a full cooland flush and said they had my car going for twenty minutes and it was OK to drive, but call them if it did the same thing.

Well yeah, it did the same thing on the drive home. Fortunetly, two of Zero's buddies will be looking at my car tomorrow to see whats wrong with it. Hopefully they can fix it, since I had to call off my first little work trip because of this shit.

Yesterday wasn't a good day at all -- my car pooping out on me, a random guy in line behind me telling me I had big thighs, "Do you work out?", a bird shitting ON me, and another random guy being a fucking dick and shouting something to me while I was trying to let him and his car pass me to let him out of a parking lot. Sounds like a really lame country song, eh?

batman

Soooo even if I had wanted to park in the employee parking lot when I go to work today, I wouldn't be able to. Apparently they're filming some scenes for the upcoming Batman movie in our Amtrak train yards, and signs have been posted up for quite some time saying "No Parking" on the 13th. Kinda neat, I'm thinking of going to the crewbase and seeing whats going on when I come home from work tomorrow. Or not. I might be too tired, but I doubt it.

I really dislike my job. I'm not a customer service person. I can't stand the stupidity of certain customers -- and employees.

Zero bought a refrigerator, and its being delivered tomorrow to his apartment. I can't wait! Odd isn't it - being excited over an appliance? But it means we can eat real meals, not fast food. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant below makes great, cheap food and the pizza place across the street has damned good pizza. But while I enjoy being 20 lbs. lighter than in many previous years, I know I'm still not healthy. If I lose weight as a side effect of eating healthy and starting to exercise again, well thats great.

I'm SO SO SO glad I never bought a house out here in the area. SOOOOO glad. My mom and sister will be moving to "bufu" Indiana over the summer. Mom wants to move to a place called Attica, or something, its about two hours driving distance. My mom put her duplex up for sale, and an hour later a showing was already schedualed. Its been a few days now, and she must have had more than 6 showings on the house already. I'll be surprised if no one puts an offer on it. Those duplexes are selling really fast, and for a lot more than originally sold for. My mom bought it for about $119,000, and she's listed for $159,000. I think she owes around $90,000 so that will definately be good for her. Property taxes are set to go up another 24% I've heard also so I guess its a good time to sell lol.

So I guess i'm glad I didn't buy a house....Because if I did I think my mom would want to move her and Charlie in with me XD And because of the taxes thing. And, well...Because its just more bills to pay anyways.

Have been playing World of Warcraft a lot. Its an addictive game. Maybe too addicting.

Plan: pay down debts. Pay off credit cards, car payment, and laptop computer. Get rid of ALL debt. Work out, exercise. Join Marines. Its the only way I can see making anything of myself. I don't want to work at Amtrak for the rest of my life.
