06/12/2007: "batman"
Soooo even if I had wanted to park in the employee parking lot when I go to work today, I wouldn't be able to. Apparently they're filming some scenes for the upcoming Batman movie in our Amtrak train yards, and signs have been posted up for quite some time saying "No Parking" on the 13th. Kinda neat, I'm thinking of going to the crewbase and seeing whats going on when I come home from work tomorrow. Or not. I might be too tired, but I doubt it.
I really dislike my job. I'm not a customer service person. I can't stand the stupidity of certain customers -- and employees.
Zero bought a refrigerator, and its being delivered tomorrow to his apartment. I can't wait! Odd isn't it - being excited over an appliance? But it means we can eat real meals, not fast food. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant below makes great, cheap food and the pizza place across the street has damned good pizza. But while I enjoy being 20 lbs. lighter than in many previous years, I know I'm still not healthy. If I lose weight as a side effect of eating healthy and starting to exercise again, well thats great.
I'm SO SO SO glad I never bought a house out here in the area. SOOOOO glad. My mom and sister will be moving to "bufu" Indiana over the summer. Mom wants to move to a place called Attica, or something, its about two hours driving distance. My mom put her duplex up for sale, and an hour later a showing was already schedualed. Its been a few days now, and she must have had more than 6 showings on the house already. I'll be surprised if no one puts an offer on it. Those duplexes are selling really fast, and for a lot more than originally sold for. My mom bought it for about $119,000, and she's listed for $159,000. I think she owes around $90,000 so that will definately be good for her. Property taxes are set to go up another 24% I've heard also so I guess its a good time to sell lol.
So I guess i'm glad I didn't buy a house....Because if I did I think my mom would want to move her and Charlie in with me XD And because of the taxes thing. And, well...Because its just more bills to pay anyways.
Have been playing World of Warcraft a lot. Its an addictive game. Maybe too addicting.
Plan: pay down debts. Pay off credit cards, car payment, and laptop computer. Get rid of ALL debt. Work out, exercise. Join Marines. Its the only way I can see making anything of myself. I don't want to work at Amtrak for the rest of my life.
