01/09/2007: "Life...?"
music: um...dunno the name of it...mood: bbqwtf?
I realize that I haven't updated in a while. This is due to the fact that I have terrible time-magagement skillz -_-; As far as updates go, I threw out a lot more crap from my apartment, and am going to be looking soon for either some of my brother's friends, or my boyfriend's, to help me get this furniture out of my apartment. The furniture here was cast offs from my mom when she got new furniture, so there is no reason to keep it. I was thinking that I may take it to a salvation army type of place...But I have two cats and they are covered in cat hair (and who knows, perhaps a few fleas are still living in them? lols!).
I finally got a membership at the gym my boyfriend has just a few days ago, and am going to get 10 meetings with a personal trainer which is always nice. Its going to cost just about the same amount as the other place, but eh whatever. I was paying for that and not even going heh.
My mom is having lots and lots of financial problems. She quit her last nursing job because the doctor turned out to be a total dick to his employees. Of course she has been looking for another job in the nursing/medical assistant area...But then she finds out the man she is living with is moving out (this pretty much came out of the blue) and will move when he finds a job in Indy. I think its a pretty shitty time to bring this up to my mom, he should have at least had the tact to tell her after she found another job!
Now my mom does get money from my dad for child support, about $1,000 a month actually, even though me and my brother now are both out of the house. I think however my dad got divorced from my mom, he did it kinda shady. He gives her a personal check every two weeks for $512 instead of going through the courts (which I'm relatively sure is how its supposed to go). So he's never cut the amount of money down, or my mom would take him to court and call him out on that hehe ^_^
It has been a very trying time for my mom though...I didn't even know that she didn't have a job. She hid it from even ME for a few weeks. I'm her oldest kid, she doesn't need to keep anything from me. Oh well. I guess she's behind on her mortgage payments and car payments and such, bad times. I finally had her call her sister, my aunt Jeanine, to ask if she could borrow money. I knew she wanted to call, but she didn't have the nerve/courage to do so since I guess she's borrowed money from them before
They will help her out, which is good. I'd do anything to help my brother or sister out.
And speaking of my sister, oh my. She's being quite the little dumbass when it comes to her schoolwork (and knowledge in a general sense). Shes in 8th grade (and also 15 years old! She's been held back twice -- maybe even three times, I'm not sure) and can't even calculate change from a store. My mom doesn't know what to do with her, especially because I guess my sister doesn't get in trouble at school when she doesn't turn in homework (bbq? I'm only 24, but back when I was in high school you got detentions and such for continually not doing what is required of you in classes, heh...).
I'm like my mom in a lot of ways -- especially in the fact that we have little to no friends. The one woman my mom was growing very close to (another Marine mom), had some sort of kid hissy-fit at my mom over something trivial (in my mind), so my mom doesn't even have her to talk to at this point in time. Unlike me, my mom is not addicted to the internet. She has gotten over hating the computer and knows how to turn it on now and check email hehe!
